Waterblade
Waterblade, based in Brighton, fits to a tap and reduces water consumption by up to twice as much as a standard eco aerating nozzle.
Developing an idea
Inventor Nigel Bamford worked closely with our innovation team at our South East hub (University of Brighton) to develop his idea and find funding. We helped him win grant funding that paid for him to work with the University’s product design specialists on improving the performance of his invention. Using computer modelling and 3D printing, we helped refine and test his product to maximise its performance and gain invaluable, University-backed data to share with potential investors and clients.
Building connections
We’ve also helped him make connections with large companies and organisations in the water industry, including the opportunity to deliver a presentation on Waterblade at the National Water Efficiency Conference.
Waterblade’s support has also covered commercialisation and advice on gaining industry accreditation for his product.
