Clean Growth Innovation South

Clean Growth Innovation is about optimising your business performance. It’s a commercially-driven ethos that drives down costs and carbon footprint, improves resilience, and positions your business as a leader.

The Covid 19 situation has also forced many businesses to consider how they can be more resilient in the future, and as many explore how they will ‘reset’ their operations innovation and change will be key. The Net Zero Carbon 2050 target is still set so innovating with a cleaner and greener approach will support a more sustainable future and help future-proof your business.

Looking at upstream and downstream processes in your business, we’ll support innovation in energy supply and use, and discover the opportunities in automation and process improvements. There will be a focus on action and the steps needed to make changes happen.

You’ll get tailored advice and the opportunity for ongoing collaboration with Clean Growth UK and fellow businesses on your sustainable innovation journey. Our e-collaboration platform will facilitate connection, discussion and the sharing of ideas and best practise between the trainer and participants during and between the workshop sessions.

The workshop will cover…

  • Energy saving and generation
  • Process automation
  • Clean and green new product and service innovation
  • Supply chain management
  • Business energy and productivity auditing
  • Staff engagement and business strategy
  • Access to grant funding

Bite-size format

This in-depth workshop is broken down into bite-size chunks, delivered via Microsoft teams and spread over two separate weeks.

  • Part A will run over two 3 hour sessions on 13 and 14 October, 9.30am – 12.30pm.
  • Part B will run over four 2 hour sessions from Tuesday to Friday from 3 to 6 November, 9.30am – 11.30am.

During the workshop weeks, you’ll have regular contact with the trainer and your peers as you discover and develop your plans to drive your clean business growth.

Part B will consist of 3 x 2 hour technical sessions and 1 x 2 hour session focusing on Business Improvement Project ideas, Innovation Canvas drafting and funding opportunities.

This FREE workshop is run by the University of Brighton’s Green Growth Platform, Clean Growth UK’s South East Hub, funded by Research England and supported by the Knowledge Transfer Network.

Who’s it for?

This workshop is for Clean Growth UK members only and focused on developing clean and green business innovation. It’s for any SME leader in any sector who wants to do things differently and is developing new clean and green products, services or processes.
