Greenhouse Gas Removal Innovation Competition
The Small Business Research Initiative (SBRI) has launched a tender to fund innovative greenhouse gas removals technologies.
This competition is open to applications from SMEs across the UK. Within this, eligible SMEs should demonstrate how they plan to identify, support and then develop credible greenhouse gas removal technologies/enabling technologies bringing about a step-change in their development. Additionally, applications should focus on technologies that are not yet commercial rather than supporting technologies that are already mature.
The competition will be split up into two phases with Phase 1 focusing on an initial design study, followed by Phase 2 which will support a pilot demonstration. Only those applicants who are successful in Phase 1 and have completed their design study may enter into Phase 2.
Funding rate:
The contract value is between £75,000 and £250,000.
