Light Brothers get renewable energy grant

Clean Growth UK members Light Brothers have over 50 years of experience in the waste industry and have been at the forefront of innovation in the recycling industry.   

They provide specialist recycling to councils, industry, small business and the general public across many waste types including all metals, vehicles, commercial waste, POPs, electrical and other hazardous materials.

Through our South East Hub, the University of Brighton’s Green Growth Platform, Light Brothers were awarded a LoCASE grant to install a 96kWH solar system, as pictured, to help power their operations.

Peter Burrluck, ISM & Compliance Manager at Light Brothers, said: 

“This installation is another step moving Light Brothers to sustainable energy. We have just installed a biofuel generator and have provisioned plans for the next solar project”.
